Mosul’s displaced pin hopes on Iraq’s election for justice and reconstruction

The first votes have been cast in Iraq's parliamentary election.
Thousands of internally displaced people and members of the security forces have been voting ahead of the main polling day on ...
Tuesday.
They're selecting 329 MPs.
The polls have put a spotlight on how the balance of power in the region affects millions of ordinary Iraqis.

Many of those displaced voters live in northern Iraq.
Parts of the city of Mosul are still in ruins, after being destroyed during battles with ISIL.
For those still living there, the election is a chance to demand reconstruction and justice.

Al Jazeera’s Mahmoud Abdelwahed reports from Mosul, northern Iraq.
