Coronavirus: UK government says 1 in 5 workers could be off

The UK government has unveiled detailed plans for what measures it would take in the event of a widespread outbreak of Coronavirus. It considers a scenario in which schools are closed, retired doctors are asked to return to work in the NHS and the armed forces are called in to help. Ministers say it’s likely the UK will be ‘significantly affected’ in the coming weeks.
